IT Development Manager Izabela Jagodzińska spoke to Punit Sood about his work as Head of International Hubs at NatWest.
- What does your typical day look like?
A typical work day starts with exercise, a full day of work with multiple small breaks, and some reading / music in the evening. Weekends tend to be busier, stepping out of home multiple times for household errands or social events.
- What are the current challenges in your role as a Director of International Hubs and Head of India?
I won’t call it a challenge, but my focus area is to help layout a strategy for the hubs, to become first-choice capability locations for the bank
- What skills are required to perform such role?
Many! Strategic thinking, influencing, prioritising, dealing with ambiguity, empathy, listening, coaching, mentoring. As I said, the list is long, and I have listed only some of them .
- What do you like about your job?
The fact that I can help our employees reach their potential, by removing obstacles, getting them access to resources, and by coaching them. And in the process, deliver our purpose.
